Children & youth

Children's Ministry exists to equips children to navigate their world with a Biblical worldview, to cultivate a love for God and an appetite for His word, the Bible.

  • nursery (0-3)

    A clean, friendly, fun, and safe atmosphere for your little ones to learn about Jesus and play with new friends. Trained staff nurture and care for all children ages 0-3 years during our worship service. Not quite ready to let your little one go? Feel free to check your child in anytime during the service.

  • Kids church (4 - 5th grade)

    During the worship service, children ages 4 through 5th grade leave the service just before the teaching time for an experience of learning designed just for them. We are currently undergoing an in-depth, a chronological study of the Bible through The Gospel Project.

  • Youth group (junior & senior high)

    A ministry designed for Junior & Senior High School students to discover the intersection between the scriptures and where they live. 

Adult ministries

Women's Ministry

Training women to follow Christ with all their hearts. The Ladies Bible study meets Tuesday mornings at 9:30 at the Portage Library. Join the FBC Ladies Facebook page to get involved!

 

Small Group Ministry

Small groups exist to deepen relationship, provide support and accountability. Together studying the Bible in a small group provides learning from one another's experience and questions. Welcome Ministry

Welcome ministry exists to assist you by answering any questions you have, give directions, and of course help you feel welcome.

 

Outreach Ministry

Training and encouraging the Church to communicate the gospel to our community while also supporting missionaries all over the world.

 

Worship Ministry

Worship ministry exists to equip the Church to worship God in Spirit and Truth and to express it to God corporately.

Why we do it

Jesus commanded us to make disciples.  A disciple is a child of God, empowered by the Spirit of God, obedient to the word of God, being conformed to the Character of the Son of God all for the glory of God.


Each of these ministries is designed to equip, teach and encourage you to love the LORD your God with all your heart soul mind and strength and to love your neighbor as yourself.
